how is it that people can put friends in uncomfortable situations?
like when someone is in a really bad spot in their life
and they have nothing to give you but negativity
and you have to make this decision
to either try to put up with them
or to turn away, for your own sanity.

either way it sucks
you're either hurting yourself
or hurting them

and i hate that i made the decision
in favor of my own sanity
to turn my back
to not call back
to stop playing this ridiculous game
to not be a crutch for someone else's selfish despair.
